Two month checkup today! Charlie is now 7lbs 5.5ozs, and 19" long. He gained 12.5oz in 11 days (since Fri. 5/12). If he keeps on growing at this rate (which is above average), he'll hit the 5th percentile in weight in . . . 2 more months (that gives you an idea how small he was at birth!) Right now, he's in the 0.2 - 0.5th percentile.

Charlie also had several shots today. He screamed at first, but has since quieted down. At his size, the doctor said feedings every 3hrs are still normal, so we're lucky for the (very) few times where he's slept 4hrs (unlike his cousin, who apparently sleeps all the time!)

That's all that is new here. Trip to DC planned for the weekend (Alex has Fri. and Mon. off). Jenny goes back to work on Thursday. The pool will open on Fri., so another summer is almost upon us.

Smile!

Charlie turned 8 weeks old on Wed. (5/17), and it marked the first time we saw him smile! He goes for his first round of shots on Tues. (2 month checkup).

Take me out to the ballgame

As a reward for doing such a great job on his science fair project, Alex and I went to the Phillies-Red Sox game on Saturday. The Red Sox won, 8-4. We had great seats (11 rows back, in right field) and during batting practice and the game, quite a few balls came really close to us. A fun time all around!

Now if he comes to us in a few years talking about seeing multicolored horses and elephants floating around, it will be a much more serious talk...for now, though, it's all ok!

Science Fair

Pictures from Alex's science fair at school last night. He studied the force of gravity this year, and did experiments on how it affects a persons' weight and height, and also on how the size, shape and mass of an object will affect a falling object. Alex presented his poster to his class today and did an amazing job explaining the science and experiments!
