Charlie the littlest dragon...

Charlie looks cute in his dragon costume!

Catching up from the summer...

A few random pictures to play "catch up" from some missed postings this summer. Alex at Deep Creek Lake, the family in the pool at Sean and Kim's, a photo op at Zion National Park, and another of us at Bryce Canyon.

Visit to Columbus - Oct 12-14

A few other pictures from our visit to Columbus. Charlie had fun playing with Thomas' toys and seeing his cousin Ben. The car was especially fun for Charlie, although we need to work on the concept of "sharing" a bit! Alex was a great big brother and played with all three boys. Thomas especially seemed to really be interested in Alex and liked having an "older brother" around. Jenny and I agree...we really don't know how people can have babies without having a 9 yr old
around to lean on at times for help :)

Alex's first Ohio State game

"Along the banks of the Olentangy..." is how Keith Jackson would start his introduction to any tOSU game on TV. A beautiful day to watch a scrimmage (err, game) between Kent State and Ohio State in the Horseshoe. We missed out on getting seats to see the Skull session (a pep rally with the band, team, and >10,000 of your closest friends) held in the old basketball arena. We made it in to our seats--Alex and I in the seats where the pictures were taken, Dad and Brian in the same location but opposite end zone--and watched the pregame warmups and felt the excitement build, leading to one of the best traditions of the band taking the field. TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band in the Land) lived up to its name, and we got to see the "double" Script Ohio performed. A relaxing game to watch (kudos to tOSU for the scoreboard animations, which were really good) and one of the best halftime shows by the band (featuring The Devil went down to Georgia, with the Devil fiddle player wearing a UM jersey). Couldn't have asked for more. Attendance was >105,000.

Longwood Gardens

A trip to Longwood Gardens on a nice fall day. Charlie had a great
time playing in the water and looking at the pumpkins ("Pup" as he
calls it) and spending time with Grandma. Alex and Craig went with
the cub scouts to a corn maze in the evening, using flashlights and an
excellent sense of direction to navigate the several acre maze (made
by cutting out trails through 10+ ft stalks of corn) in the dark in
under 2 hours... The theme was the "Wild West", so the maze looked
like a cowboy riding a horse when viewed from above.

Charlie's Favorite Show

Charlie isn't allowed to watch tv at home, but he happened to see this show that came on after one Alex was watching. He REALLY got into the theme song music, and then immediately started crying when the music went away. Oh, to be young and REALLY enjoy the simple things in life! Click on the image to WATCH (!!!) the video...

Chores around the house

Kids are never too young to do chores around the house! Charlie is helping me here keep the deck clean when we were preparing to paint it over the weekend.
