Cub Scouts overnight on USS New Jersey

Alex and Jenny (along with a large contingent of the Pack 136 Cub Scouts) spent Saturday night on the USS New Jersey. They arrived around 6pm before getting in the 'chow line' at 7. That was followed by a tour (until 11:30pm!) of the ENTIRE SHIP! Part of the tour included getting to go on the flight simulator (a 4-d experience of the battle of Iwo Jima on a Seahawk plane, and a second one of a simulated Iraq battle). The tour included the Captain's and Admiral's quarters, the control room (think: the movie "The Hunt for Red October"), seeing helicopters, etc. Basically, all over the ship. Jenny and Alex (along with several other people) spent the nights in the Berth's 3-high bunks. The boys were asleep by 12 and up before the bugle call at 6. Breakfast was at 7, and after exploring around some more, they came home. Alex called it awesome, and especially loved the flight simulator.
